Malnutrition among Pre-School Children & Women in India

The project is specifically targeted to benefit under-six children directly and their families and communities in general. This children will receive different medications in addition to supplementary nutrition so as to reduce the child mortality and morbidity rates.

The beneficiaries of the project are also pregnant and lactating mothers who will receive supplementary nutrition along with necessary medications. The project aims at removing under-nutrition in the community right from foetal stage. Thus it would reduce the Maternal, Infant and Child mortality rates. The management of malnutrition is both medical as well as social. A major preventive component in the form of health education, nutrition education and nutritional demonstration is also included.
